Tasting Notes:

This Cabernet Sauvignon has typical mulberry, cassis and blackberry aromas, with hints of cigar box. The wine is well balanced with layers of red fruit present, and has a nice fresh and creamy finish to it. It has a good structure mid palate with notes of mocha present on the aftertaste.

Heavy summer pruning, trellised with no irrigation or fertilizer.

300 liter French oak barrels of which 40% was new, 40% 2nd fill and 20% 3rd fill.

The selected areas of the best blocks were harvested at optimum ripeness and yeast fermented in open tanks at 28°C. Regular punching down and pumping-over was practiced, with 2 -3 weeks of skin contact after fermentation.

Food pairing

It will complement most red meat dishes, venison or creamy beef stroganoff.
